We are pleased to announce Larry Williams has joined our team as a consultant/advisor. Larry has an impressive career and possesses an immense amount of experience and knowledge. He brings with him more than forty years of law enforcement and security experience, the majority of which is at a managerial level.
Larry is a U.S. Army Military Police Veteran, a retired Pennsylvania State Police, Captain, where he served on the Commissioner’s Executive Staff as the Department’s Disciplinary Officer. Additionally, while with the Pennsylvania State Police, Larry held positions in the Patrol Division, Criminal Investigation Division, Drug Law Enforcement, Staff Inspection Section and as an Academy Instructor.
Larry served as the Chief of Security at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center for several years. Additionally, he served as General Manager for Murray Guard, Greater Atlanta, Georgia, a privately held security company.
Presently Larry serves as Manager, Protective Services, Pratt & Whitney, Columbus, GA, where he has site wide responsibility for security, fire and emergency services.
Larry is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University Basic and Advanced Police Executive Courses (POLEX). He is a graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigations National Academy and is a current member of the FBI National Academy Associates (FBINAA).
He is a certified Classroom & Firearms Instructor, certified by Georgia Secretary of State, Board of Private Detective & Security Agencies. Larry holds the Certified Protection Professional (CPP) credential from ASIS. Those that earn the CPP certification are ASIS Board Certified in Security Management.
Larry earned a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Elizabethtown College, Elizabethtown Pennsylvania and a Master’s degree from Troy University, Ft Benning Georgia. He has served as an Adjunct Professor at Troy University, Ft. Benning, GA, and at Savannah Technical College, Savannah, GA. as well.
